Hidden Treasure

One of my favourite spots in Sydney is the Paddington Reservoir, an amazing little outdoor oasis in the middle of the city. Currently made even more awesome with the inclusion of the Head On Portrait Prize 2014 photographs (for all the photos themselves just follow the link).

The works are anonymous at the time of selection and the panel changes every year so the collection is unpredictable and diverse plus you gotta love a little art in the open air especially in super Sydney spring sunshine

Such an amazing space, not hard to see why I love it. So where is your secret spot? You can tell me, I won't tell anyone else I promise.

It pays to shop around

But you don't need me to tell you that, do you?

Anyone who follows me on Pinterest will know that I have a slight obsession with hanging egg chairs, in fact as well as having them pop up numerous times, I now have dedicated an entire board to this obsession.

I'm not sure if it is because they can be hung inside or out, perfect for indoor/ outdoor flow or if they just look so comfortable. They make me want to curl up with a good book or a pile of magazines with a cup of tea or a glass of wine within easy reach and laze the time away, perhaps sneak in a little nap.

So not surprisingly I have been seeing them pop up all over the place, everywhere I go, at a range of prices.

I have found myself with a few hours to spare in Paddington over the last few weeks. Normally I would just stroll over to Paddington Markets but on one of the weekends I wandered the streets and  laneways instead, this can be an expensive exercise so my c/card (and hubby) were in luck when I came across the Cash Palace Emporium pop up.
